The Gap Between
I specifically designed the bridge which connects these two monuments to be one of the environment. Without making it look too simple i decided that the best decision was to create a sort of hopping system that will eventually lead from the Goldberg monument to the Gang. This was achieved by creating a series of lifted sandbanks all the way to each monument through a pathway.

5 Captures of my Lumion Model
Capture 1 + 2 - Front and back of the Gang Monument
I designed this monument to be some sort of fun/resort area for teenagers and children. To get access to this area, one must cross the "gap between" which is formed by natural boundaries of lifted sand beds.
Capture 3 + 4 - Front and Back of the Goldberg Monument
The Goldberg monument is designed to be the main entrance to the two monuments. It is designed in a simple yet classy manner which attracts the eye. The surroundings include palm trees which provide a large area of shade as well as smaller bamboo trees which provide coverage for the entrance.

I included this image to give another perspective on the environment and buildings.

Textures in Use
In the Goldberg building, i have used the Medium Texture for the upper most top layer of the building and the Dark Texture for the edges of the two directly outer faces. The reason as to why i placed the darker textures in this building is due to its positioning in the shade. When the sun does hit the building, the darker colors will absorb the sunlight much more effectively than the lighter colors and hence heat up the building which would be moderately cooler than the gang building due to the shade.
In the Gang building, i used the Light texture due to the fact that the building will be largely in the sun and would benefit from such a light color. The building would reflect the sunlight rather than absorb and hence will remain cool even when the weather is very hot.

The above shows the Goldberg Building with the landscape around it. I have added the trees in this particular area in front of the building so that at almost anytime of the day, the shade of the trees will cool the people as the come in or exit the building. The lights are then placed alongside the inside of the path so that at night, the area is illuminated.
The gang building was specifcally designed so that it mimicked the design of a multi-million dollar boat. The original rectangular form changed to this curvilinear shape and actually works really well. The fact that the gang building is on water and looks like a boat makes it the key monument out of the two.

Electroliquid Aggregation of two models --> One from Gang and one from Goldberg
CONCEPTS
Goldberg:
"Certain buildings, even neighborhoods, can’t be altered without being ruined. But all buildings exist in the real world, as do we"
"Current American architecture is not a matter of art but of business. A building must pay or there will be no inverstor ready to meet its cost. This is at once the curse and the glory of American architecture." Barre Ferrree
Nature isn't filled with right-angles
Architecture suffers at the hands of its functionality
Good architecture predicts the movement of time and accommodates it.
Landmarks transcend time, however the immortality of monuments is an obstacle in front of scientific progress - meeting the needs of the science of today.
Goldberg thoroughly believed to design a "city with a city" that could fully accommodate people's everyday needs and activities.
Separate components integrated together to give the structure a sense of rhythm and curvilinear form. Replication of elements and varying scales.
Gang
Studio Gang Architects confronts pressing contemporary issues and seeks to answer questions that exist locally but resound globally.

a pioneer; the aqua tower and is the tallest building in the world to have a woman as lead architect
"every building is a product and comes from its own unique set of purposes"
the sky's the limit
1. Seperation/Integration + Unique
- "Every building is a product and comes with a unique set of purposes,(+) this can be established through the combination of separate components which give a sense of rhythm"
2. Unusual + Nature
- Nature does not often contain right angles and when this concept is applied to a building, it can be transformed to something unusual and beautiful
3. Functionality + Pioneer
- Though architecture suffers at the hands of functionality, a pioneer will allow themselves to transform a structure to suit their aims and goals.
